Education

Mr. Ryan earned his J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law in 1993. During law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program and received the Pro Bono Community Service Award.

Mr. Ryan earned a B.A. in Economics and Business from the University of California Los Angeles in 1990, graduating magna cum laude. While there, he was selected to Phi Beta Kappa, received the Academic Excellence Award in Economics, and was in the top five percent of his graduating class.

Community Involvement and Honors

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Ryan has been involved with his community and with the legal profession. Some of his more notable activities include:

  • Member, Board of Directors of the San Diego River Park Foundation, 2007-Present
  • Member, Board of Directors of the Rancho San Diego Jamul Chamber of Commerce, 2007-2011
  • NAIOP, Legislative Affairs Committee, 2004-2009
  • UCLA Alumni Association, San Diego District Chair for the Dr. Ralph J. Bunche Scholarship Committee, 2002-2007

For his work with the Rancho San Diego-Jamul community, Mr. Ryan was presented with both a United States Congressional Certificate of Recognition and a San Diego County Board of Supervisors Certificate of Recognition.
